I noticed a small bug I guess...
Is it just me?
Looks like! I have it all fine with custom logo and even kernel-pwck3 installed.
I guess it happened after I tried to flash custom usb icon, which didn't work.

Sorry, I was writing here because this is the original thread about Custom Nolo Splash and hxka and RaANdOoM are here. So I thought they probably read this a bit sooner than on maemo.org... (maemo.org has become really silent lately... 
)

I think I found the reason... I have mp-fremantle-generic-pr uninstalled because of CSSU Community Update...
I guess that's why the version info is missing.

hmmm... it is maybe the reason. "About Cssu" is displayed normal.

Hello, J4ZZ, here is my usb icon made by me It is 24 bpp and you need to convert it to 16 bpp. About your bug in "About product": i dont have this bug. Maybe it disapear after some updates, dont know. (p.s. i have CSSU updates and last kernel-power)
My logo image have a custom size too (24 bpp too - need to convert to 16 bpp). I use it and my custom usb logo and all works fine for me. Just follow my instructions

You said in the guide that usb icon must be 40x40 but your usb icon is 102x44.
And bootlogo is 486 x 138 instead of 416x72? So, does that mean, we can have different image sizes?
And could you please test my usblogo... xloader and secondary are already ready in zip.

J4ZZ, of course we can use images with custom height and width Use v.1.1, that can compress any file.
But you must remember that size (in bytes) of compressed image must be not more than original images in NOLO
Oops, only now i saw that i forgot write FAQ with instructions for using images with custom height and width. Sorry. If you interested in it i will try make FAQ tomorrow.
Yes of cource... please add this to the guide... And did you have a look at my usb logo?
